These changes mark a natural progression for the business, reflecting our commitment to growth, continuity and staying true to the values that have shaped our journey so far. A Fond Farewell to Mick Adams

Having been an integral part of Rabbit Waste Management for the past 19 years, Mick Adams, our Managing Director, retires at the end of May and we sincerely thank him for his dedication and hard work.

His steady guidance has helped shape Rabbit Waste Management into the company it is today. Mick’s influence has extended far beyond day-to-day operations – his focus on sustainable growth, people and succession planning has left a legacy that will benefit the business for years to come.

During his farewell dinner, Mick reflected on his role: “You start out focused on improving the business, then realise that real success means planning for its future without you. At Rabbit, that’s been straightforward – there’s a strong team in place and any challenges have always been met and overcome. I’m confident that it will continue to thrive under the new leadership.”

Reflecting on his time at Rabbit Waste Management, Mick shared: “It has been a fantastic journey and I feel privileged to have worked alongside such a dedicated and talented team. Rabbit has always been about the people and I know the company is in great hands for the future. Thank you all for the memories, the support and the camaraderie – I will miss it dearly.”

Welcoming the Next Chapter

New Leadership June 2025
(l-r) Joe Timms, Emma Blurton and Marc Linberry

Over the past few years, Mick has worked closely with the senior management team to lay strong foundations for the future of Rabbit Waste Management. His focus on mentoring, succession planning and building a resilient leadership team means the company is well-positioned for continued growth and innovation.

With this groundwork in place, we’re pleased to announce that Marc Linberry is stepping into the role of Managing Director of Rabbit Waste Management. With many years of experience across the business, Marc brings a strong understanding of our operations, along with the drive and enthusiasm to lead us into the future.

Of his new role, Marc commented: “Stepping into the role of Managing Director is a real honour and I’m well aware that Mick leaves behind an inspiring legacy that sets the bar high. His leadership and commitment have shaped the company into what it is today. I’m proud to carry that legacy forward and, together with the team, continue building on the strong foundations he helped create. It’s an exciting time and I look forward to leading Rabbit into its next chapter.”

Emma Blurton, daughter of CEO Greg Blurton, has also taken on a more involved position as Executive Officer of Rabbit Waste Management. Her expanded role reflects the company’s commitment to remaining a proudly family-owned and run business, continuing the family’s hands-on involvement in daily operations. Emma will be working closely with Marc to support the continued development of the company, ensuring our values remain at the heart of everything we do.

In addition, Joe Timms has stepped into the role of Operations Director of Enviropower, where his insight and leadership are proving invaluable. He joins the senior management team alongside Dave Ely,Transport and Operations Director, and Duncan Barrass, Commercial and Operations Director, who continue to drive forward the waste operations with their extensive years of industry knowledge, experience and relationships.

Emma shared her excitement about the future, saying: “Rabbit Waste Management has been built on a strong foundation of teamwork and innovation. I’m excited to help drive new opportunities, strengthen our operations and continue delivering the high standards our customers expect. With such a talented team in place, I have no doubt that the future is bright.”

Rabbit Waste Management, a family-run business with a long-standing reputation in the Worthing community, is proud to announce the sale of its Rabbit & Dowling Plant Hire and Rabbit Toilet Hire divisions to FTH Hire Group.

Over the years, Rabbit & Dowling Plant Hire and Rabbit Toilet Hire have grown into successful operations, providing essential services to local businesses and projects.

“We’ve taken the plant hire business as far as we can and are incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved,” says Greg Blurton, Group Chief Executive Officer at Rabbit Waste Management. “It’s been a journey building a family-run, small business that has thrived and grown to become a trusted name in Worthing. However, as part of our progression planning, we believe this is a positive step forward, with FTH Hire Group now poised to take the business to new heights.”

The sale is part of Rabbit Waste Management’s strategic focus to continue driving the growth of its core services, including skip hire and demolition. “We remain fully committed to delivering the best possible service to our skip hire and demolition customers,” adds Greg. “This transition allows us to channel our energy and resources into these areas, ensuring we maintain our leadership position in the market.”

FTH Hire Group, a well-established name in the hire industry, with 18 depots across South East England, Wales and Scotland, is excited to welcome the plant and toilet hire divisions into their portfolio. This acquisition forms part of FTH’s broader growth strategy, bringing their expertise and resources to further develop the plant and toilet hire services in Worthing and beyond. toto slot slot toto slot toto bacansports situs toto

What is Rabbit Waste Management?

What is Rabbit Group?

Established in 1988, the Rabbit Waste Management has been a familiar face in and around West Sussex for around 35 years.

A proud part of the Worthing and Lancing community, our distinctive logo can be spotted regularly in sponsorship of local events and on commercial vehicles and skips in the surrounding areas.

A commitment to a greener environment is the enduring ethos which has always underlined everything we do. And over the years, Rabbit Waste Management has expanded to provide a whole host of services which are now available throughout Sussex, and in Surrey, London, Hampshire and Kent.

But what is it that lies behind the green rabbit? Here’s a guide to what we do:

Rabbit Skip Hire Services

Rabbit Skips is a Sussex skip hire service for collection and recycling of waste throughout the whole of East and West Sussex. There is a choice of several skip sizes available for both domestic and commercial use, from small house and garden clearances to large industrial demolition projects.

You can either book a skip online using our simple skip booking system, or, give us a call on 01903 762020.

Rabbit Demolition Services

Despite being a West Sussex based demolition contractor, we regularly carry out demolition projects in London and across the Home Counties, too.

Using specialised demolition equipment, a wide range of demolition machines and our own skilled operatives, we can tackle anything from small house demolition to large industrial commercial building demolition.

Speak to one of our demolition experts on 01903 762020, or email enquiries@rabbitdemolition.co.uk.

Plant Hire Services

The Rabbit & Dowling plant hire division is made up of a wide variety of plant hire equipment for commercial building projects throughout Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire.

Equipment which is available for hire includes excavators, dumpers, forklifts rollers and telescopic handlers.

With more than 300 pieces of kit to choose from, we offer free site visits to our customers. This enables us to recommend and provide all the support required to get up and running safely.

Our machines are easy-to-use, and they come in many sizes to suit different projects. We can also provide trained staff to operate the plant hire equipment, where required.

Customers using our portable toilet hire services benefit from the very best quality facilities at standard prices. These benefits include forearm length sinks with a cold-water foot pump feed, liquid soap dispensers and flushable paper towel dispensers, a recirculating flush system to reduce water use and biodegradable toilet paper.

Rabbit Group In The Community

The Rabbit Waste Management logo is likely to be a familiar one for most people living and working in West Sussex and the surrounding areas.

In addition to the services which we have continued to provide for around 35 years, our sponsorship of local sports teams, such as Worthing Football Club and support for local charities, has shown just how committed we are as a West Sussex business, to supporting the community around us.

Now, in addition to regularly supplying waste removal, plant hire, demolition services, skip hire and recycling services for local projects, we also provide portable toilet hire for construction projects and large events taking place across the county, with the latest branch of our business – Rabbit Toilet Hire.

The portable toilets come equipped with that extra bit of quality, with features which include more room to manoeuvre, forearm length sinks, liquid soap dispensers, a recirculating flush system to reduce water usage and their very own unique Rabbit Toilet Hire branding, so it makes it hard to miss us!
